Knife Sharpening at SQUARED AWAY SHARPENING

Our Work

At SQUARED AWAY SHARPENING, we take pride in delivering exceptional knife sharpening services that enhance the performance of your kitchen tools and outdoor equipment. Our portfolio showcases our commitment to quality craftsmanship through three key projects: a full custom job where we created a brand new edge and hand-crafted serrations tailored for the knife type; a kitchen block set of knives restored to optimal sharpness; and pizza cutters for a business client, revitalized for peak performance. We offer both standard and custom sharpening services that ensure every blade—whether a cherished item or a tool of the trade—receives the specialized care it deserves. Trust us to help you achieve the perfect edge and elevate your skills with our professional sharpening solutions.

Here is a kitchen set that came in. It had been used for many years and had dulled over time from use. All the serrations were sharpened by hand. As requested by the customer, we removed the terrible "never sharpen" edges and created razor-sharp edges in their place that were more than sharp enough to shave with. We gave these edges a nice shine and then finished them off with our unique finishing process. This process ensures a long-lasting edge retention. Once finished, each knife was inspected at a microscopic level at both 60x magnification and 90x magnification.

At SQUARED AWAY SHARPENING, we sharpen more than just knives. Here is a set of pizza cutters that came in from one of our business clients. When these came in, they were damaged, bent, and chipped from years of heavy use. They were very dull and would have a very hard time cutting the pizza properly. We removed and repaired all the damage and created brand new sharp edges that could easily and precisely cut the pizza and the bread at the client's pizza business.

Our skilled team recently revitalized a customer's gardening shears that were in critical condition due to extensive rust. One shear was especially challenging to operate. Here's how we restored them to optimal functionality: We disassembled the shears, thoroughly cleaned and re-profiled the blades, reassembled the tool with precise tension adjustment, and applied a light oil coating to safeguard against future rust. After testing their functionality to ensure perfect performance, we can confidently say these shears now operate better than when they were brand new.

We recently had the pleasure of restoring another set of gardening shears that were heavily affected by rust, rendering them ineffective. Our meticulous process involved disassembling the shears for a thorough cleaning and blade re-profiling. We then reassembled the shears with carefully adjusted tension and applied a protective oil layer to prevent future rust. After completing functionality tests, these shears are now performing at an exceptional level, far surpassing their factory new condition.
